Announcing: Channler Williams, Head of School
Farmers Branch, Texas—STEAMspark Montessori Experience welcomes Channler Williams as the Head of School.
Ms. Williams is joining the STEAMspark family with an extensive background in education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from the University of Houston, where she served as Editor in Chief of The Daily Cougar. She then continued her journey in education by earning a Master of Education degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Ms. Williams is a highly esteemed Chips Quinn Scholar and a Teach for America and Urban Leaders Fellowship alumna. She has a State Board for Educator Certification to work with students in early childhood through sixth grade. Through her previous teaching experience, Ms. Williams brings a wide depth of knowledge on teaching philosophies and curriculum. She fell in love with the Montessori Method, specifically, after seeing the positive impact on her own son’s learning.
“The most rewarding part about working with children is seeing them fall in love with learning. With Montessori being so hands-on, children use their five senses to develop mastery of practical life, language, geography, mathematics, and more,” said Channler Williams, STEAMspark Head of School. “As Head of School, I am most excited about the opportunity to spread the magic of Montessori to children and parents.”
In her spare time, Ms. Williams enjoys writing novels and poems. She also loves spending time outdoors with her husband, son, and their German Shepherd.
STEAMspark Montessori Experience, which opens in August, is located at 1400 Valley View Lane. The program includes a Montessori-driven, STEAM-integrated, age-appropriate, highly interactive curricula that will be taught by Montessori credentialed and state-certified educators.
